Why 2-Hour Sessions Are Better For You!

While we offer 1-hour lessons, we strongly recommend 2-hour sessions for all learner drivers. Here is why choosing 2-hour blocks will help you pass your test faster and save you money in the long run:

More Actual Driving Time: In a 1-hour lesson, up to 15–20 minutes can be spent on cockpit setup, briefing, recap, and navigating back home. A 2-hour session gives you a solid 90+ minutes of continuous wheel time.

Experience Complex Junctions & Test Routes: Test routes in Cavan, Monaghan, and Dundalk often require driving at out-of-town roundabouts, on dual carriageways, and in rural manoeuvres. A 2-hour session gives us enough time to drive out to these test areas and practice thoroughly without rushing.

Faster Muscle Memory & Skill Retention: Driving requires building muscle memory for clutch control, mirror routines, and hazard observation. Longer, immersed sessions lock these habits into your brain much faster than short, fragmented lessons spaced days apart.

Fewer Overall Weeks to Get Test-Ready: By pairing EDT modules into 2-hour sessions, you double your progress every time you get in the car, getting you ready for your practical test in half the time!
